Yoss ‘A Planet for Rent’ reviewed in Words Without Borders

A long overdue update! How life gets in the way. I was thrilled to have a chance to review this work of Cuban science-fiction from one of the country’s most legendary purveyors of the genre, Yoss, for Words Without Borders. This is his first work in English, in marvellous translation by David Frye. If you enjoy subversive writing, 80’s sci-fi, and dystopic fiction, I would highly recommend this collection. The publisher, Brooklyn’s Restless Books, have initiated a series of Cuban sci-fi, so head over to their site and check out some of the other titles!
